Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house using a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
